Artist
I exist at the crossroads of music and art.
My rare gift of seeing colors when hearing sound, a neurological phenomenon known as chromesthesia, transforms every aural vibration from footfall to symphony into a mesmerizing multisensory spectacle. To me, music is an abstract painting – alive with colorful moving shapes of varying distance and opacity. As the beat drops, my world explodes in Technicolor. I make sense of this uniquely chaotic existence by creating synergistic patterns of color and sound. Electronic music is the infinitely versatile medium where I build my psychedelic soundscapes and find my peace. My work mesmerizes and transports, aiming to evoke how I experience the world.
PROFESSIONAL
I am Nathan Campbell, a.k.a. CHILLERS.
Based in Princeton, NJ, I am a formally trained pianist, performer and composer with over 10 years of education and experience through the Westminster Conservatory. My passion is combining my musical skill with technological proficiency to produce electronic music in a wide variety of genres. I draw musical inspiration from electronic artists such as Creo, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Skrillex and Aphex Twin, and genres including dubstep, breakcore, jungle and anything else that moves me. Professionally, I have mixed and mastered for 100+ artists all over the world, and produced and collaborated with such industry professionals as MusicByLukas, Woodkid, Gao the Arsonist, and Madeon. My current projects include creating music and shaping sound for the short Hollywood film “Six Miles at Sea” (2024 release) as well as bringing my synesthesia to life through a creative collaboration of LED light displays and sound design.Tools
